  • Gravel Deflectors/,51 Commander front fender scrip

Any ideas on where to buy left and right rear fender gravel deflectors in stainless or chrome and Commander script for side of front fender. Thanks

  • #2
    Well Tom,

Not that it matters much, because those stainless gravel guards are practically non-existant, but you neglected to mention whether you're talking 2-door or 4-door. The guards are different between the two.[8D]
The Commander script is gonna be tough to find too. No one's reproduced it because it's got that funky curve to it to fit the hood.

Watch ebay close or hit some Stude vendors up for good used.[}]

I was going to mention my 51 does not have Commander script on the side of the front fenders, only along bottom edge front of hood.

As Studebob says, any of these items are going to be found only at swapmeets or through want ads and networking.

I think SI is getting ready to repop them for 2 doors.

I've been hearing that SI was gonna make them for over a year now. I think I heard more recently that the venture had come to nothing. Of course, I hope I'm wrong.

I've got a pair for a 2-door that I'm holding onto for mine. They're not perfect but they could be made good with some work.

I have a pair for a 4-door that I will let go after I refinish them (when I get a round tuit).

Not that uncommon at swap meets but rarely in excellent shape.
