  • Old TW issues

Can anyone tell me when Turning Wheels started..I have 99.9% issues back to 1975 and two for 1974...I was told TW started in 1972? , so it looks like I am missing the better part of 3 years, if not more..

I am going to South Bend May 4th and any help on my 'search list' will be appreciated..

    Thanks,

    Barry

drop me an email at njnagel at comcast dot net, I'll send you back the spreadsheet I've been using to track my TW collection. I assume you'd want MS Excel format but let me know if you are using another spreadsheet program; I'm actually running OpenOffice.org which supports tons of formats.

I don't have any duplicate issues for sale, however; I unloaded them all at York.

My Turning Wheels go back to Sept 72. Before that, they were called The SDC Bulletin from Aug 72 to Nov/Dec 69. Before then ? Also there was a publication called The Studebaker Driver's Club Quarterly. I have from Dec. 69 to fall of 71. There is also a SDC Inc Presidential Newsletter. I have 1969 Volume 16-2.

Fred Fox has written 'A Short History of SDC Publications' that appears in TW from time to time. Look for it in 9-1993, 2-1996, 9,2000. In 8-1997 issue he has an article on the 25th anniversary of TW, which also shows the cover of the 1954 Studebaker Corp comic book style magazine called Turning Wheels, the Studebaker Story.

BTW now that I am next to my bookshelf, the September 2000 issue of TW has a short article by Fred Fox summarizing SDC publications (I've already emailed Barry, but I thought I'd post this in case anyone else was following the thread.)
