  • Stude Speedometer???

I'd like to know if this is a legitimate Studebaker Speedometer and if it is, what's it worth NOS? Click on the link below and then click on the Speedometer folder. Thanks

It is, 57-58 I think. Worth maybe $75-$100.

As usual, Studebaker had to complicate things. This is for '56 sedan and wagon. In '57-'58 the housing was noticeably wider EXCEPT for Scotsman models, which continued with the smaller '56 version.

Yup, '56 sedan, and '57 & '58 Scotsman, but those housings were always black...

A '57 sedan looks like this-

That's in a '57 Champion Custom 2 door sedan- a car that is one baby step above a Scotsman. The internal parts for all sedans '56-'58 are the same, dispite what they did with that '58 housing...

I bought one on e-bay about 6 months ago for 9.95. I was the only bidder. It was used and and the paper numbers on the mph were not real good. But it was complete and working. Good Luck. My guess would be $50-$100.00. It does fit a 56 wagon for sure.
