There's no bids because the opening is TOO high.
Starting bids should be about 25% of what the item is worth or expected to sell at. Nobody wants to jump in that high. A lower start allows people to become involved...to dream about it...to keep watching it...to ask ??? about it...to bid on it!!!
Looks like a decent car...try again w/ a lower start...put your phone number on ebay...if it doesn't sell immediately...it may later after the auction is over.
Good luck!

That's OK carl - your assesment of the situation was spot on!
Miscreant adrift in

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

People that list vehicles on eBay this way are looking for a sale and not an auction. If they truly want to auction the vehicle, they should start with a low opening price and have a reasonable reserve.

I hate to be cynical, but I believe most Studebaker collectors already have full garages and more than they can handle.
Except for a relatively few exceptional cars, most others are thinly traded (few bidders), that even when a semi-neat car comes up there just are not enough buyers.
Don't know why.
