  • Studebaker V8 Heads

What are the differences on the V8 heads made from 1951 to early 1962. What about the diff. on head that were manufacture for full flow motors. Are the heads the same.

All heads 51-64 will swap. In 55 they went to bigger valves and ports , other changes are minor. (bigger oli returns, changes in rocker arms)

From 55 thru 64, heads will swap across easily. But there are different conpression ratio heads and they need to be of the same ratio on a given engine. The casting numbers are the clue as to what ratio they are.
