    Artsy-Fartsy

    To validate my claims that I'm not just about part numbers and irrational behavior, I offer up this tidbit of proof.
    One day last week, I went out back as the sun was waking up. What I saw moved me to go back and get my camera.
    The results are depicted below. The sun was starting to make the clouds glow as it crept up the eastern side of the Sierra Nevadas. The color made me think of the flamingo shade seen on some '59 Larks and the dim lighting started to once again reprieve from the darkness, the pile of Studebaker sheet metal that can barely be seen in the foreground. Beautiful - just beautiful![^]

      Funny, I had a '59 Lark 2DHT in "Coral" something. Quite flamingo-like.
      Hope yo visit you again, someday. Still flyin'; less time than ever.

            If you look close...you'll see clouds in the shape of a Lark grille*.


            *Of course, a few beers may be necessary for maximum effect.

                  What's your moniker on the Kodak Forum?

                  Ten years ago, when I finished my black 63 Cruiser, I was looking at the sculpted fender behind the rear wheel and the reflection of a red car that was next to it and thought "If I took a picture of just that area it would be incredibly 'artsy' and identifiable only to the very discerning Studebaker afficianado. But I didn't have my camera and the moment was lost.

                  Anyone out there have "the shot" that would appeal to Piet Mondrian?

                      That's a great photo, Mr Biggs. The only way it could be better is if it had the back of a Hawk visible where the car parts are....
