My 1955 President,of one day, had a rough idle. I traced it to the dwell angle in the distributor, old was 18 new is 30. It smoothed out the idle , however I have not driven it above 50mph, but don't think higher speed will be outer than smooth.

OH! Yep, it suuuure does! After you reset that dwell, you may wanna check/reset the timing then carburator. Points settings have major effect on engine performance.quote:Originally posted by curt
