That 55 and the coupe behind it look like they would make a nice retirement project for someone with some time on their hands.

I'm sure there are a lot, and I mean a lot, of problems underneath the outer shell of the '55, but it looks like a complete car. Gotta love that butterknife trim and such. Maybe not too bad of a project.

That 55 would need a complete restoration for sure, but it looks like a car from a high and dry western state as it appears to have the original paint with only surface rust. The bullet noses in the background would be good candidates for restoration too. Bud

I'd bet a dollar that car was wrecked at one time in the front. Looks like the front clip was replaced and the paint was blended back into the door to match. The paint was a cheapie brand that probably looked good for years, but time eventually caught up to it.

Then based on the surroundings I'd go double-or-nothing that it's pretty solid underneath. Hopefully it doesn't have what I've found to be the biggest curse to restorable Studes: uncooperative and/or unrealistic owner turning away buyers[xx(]

If I remember right the car is in Utah. My wife wanted to go get it last year. But it didn't happen.

Oi,[V] How often do I hear these yahoos say, "Ah, but it's a classic and they're worth a lot more than $[V].. This is usually connected with a vehicle that would barely make a parts car.

They all look like dry project cars. Why has someone not bought this car[]

Just think, it was someone's pride and joy back in '55. Boy if that car could tell us its life story.
