  • 51 Champion - Correct Radio?

Hi, folks, when I bought the 51 Champion (Deluxe), it had a radio sitting in the trunk, but a radio delete plate. Is a Studebaker Starline, Philco S-5123 (manual tune) right for a 51?
I'd like to know before I either try fixing it myself, or maybe send it out. I've reworked a lot of AC table radios, but never a 6V positive ground car radio, so maybe I'll send it out.

    Thanks,
    Clarence

If I remember correctly, the '51 radio was an all-in-one unit, radio and speaker and was mounted on the bottom of the dash board in the center. I really don't know what it was called.

Yes, that's one of the correct radios. Studebaker's number for it is AC-2113.

Thanks, I found a Sam's PhotoFact for that model, which is a big help whether I do it myself or send it out. Much apprciatee it, Dwain.
