          They had a lot of different models and color combinations in '56, for sure. It must've been a great time to be able to buy a car-you could spend hours trying to come up with just the right car!![8D]

            I like the 56's a lot.The facelift was so good,many people didn't realise it was basically a 55 underneath.The squared up lines were more in keeping with the competition even if the late 50's were dreadful years for Studebaker prior to the Lark.My brother and I drove a $100 President without using overdrive 2100 miles in 100 degree heat. ( didn't know how to hotwire the switch).I had seven old nylon spares and had eight blowouts.BUT....I made it.
            I've respected 56's ever since.Still have the car.....
