    Hey guys,

I posted awhile back that my registry is going, but it still doesn't have a website yet. Being there is more '61's turning up lately, I'm reposting this. Its easy to register, and if you would like to; just shoot me a email.[8D]

Dylan my 61 4-door wagon is a V-8 with A/T. VIN is 61v3786 and has been shown in photos posted on this site before as an eye candy by Champ Trucking and misc posts for the foundry tour. I rescued the car from a bad owner and have spent more time than I probably should have on it but has turned out to be a good car. While in high school in the 80s I worked at a Stude dealer that sold used cars after Stude closed and X-mas trees during the X-mas season. On the lot across the street from the original dealership was the sales lot with a several long parked Studes,a few Packards and a small garage. The garage had a small office and two cars stored inside one of them was a 61 Flamingo Lark 6cyl auto convertible that was very rusty and I was crazy about that car but could never come to terms with the old man. Later heard the car was sold and parted,Oh well still have neat Dealership items and own a 60 Lark Convertible they also had. Ed

        Dylan,
my 61 lark cruiser is #61v27060. it is a 289/ automatic. currently upgrading to a 62 hawk 289/4v partial flow. i hung around ed's (MR SPEED 53) garage one too many times and re-ignited the stude bug. i had a 51 commander coupe many years ago, i have been a mechanic for 36 years and the first car i worked on was a stude.

Butch you and cousin Jim are always welcome! Glad to have another Stude guy in the area. Dylan I have a 61 Flamingo promo from Kickerts Auto the local Stude dealer,he showed it to me and from then on I pestered him for it. Offered him 20 dollars in the 80s and he told me if my mom found out I spent that much she would probably be mad so I rode my bike home, got a letter from my mom to Mr Kickert saying it was Ok I handed him a 20 I owned my 1st Stude promo.
