      I have no idea what happened to the car or the bear. Gas was rationed in '42 but my uncle was a Painting contractor in Salt Lake City. Maybe he got more gas? I don't know, I was only Six at that time.

          Interesting and nice looking '63 Daytona Wagonaire Fred.

          In 1968 to about '73, I owned one that looked close to that, but was not Red but was re-painted darker Maroon Metallic (Avanti Red) it was originally Gold and had a 289 2V Overdrive, individual reclining bench Maroon & White Seats, Drum Brakes, no Power steering and Power Rear Window. Really a GREAT car! []

          Yours would not be equipped that way would it? I sold it to a guy who had a Ranch in I think Montana, and lost track of it.

            Thank you for the kind words. My Wagonaire is a 289 with 4 barrel, power steering and power disc brakes. Automatic with TT, third row seat and power tail gate window.
