The caption reads "The '62 National champion in M/S won the class again this year, but the '51 Studebaker of Ted Harbit was disqualified for too much overbore."
Sound to me like they were being too picky
A co worker gave me a box of car mags from the 60's. I'll post any other Stude items of interest..

Far from being picky, the 1964 disqualification had to be the low point of Ted's entire Studebaker drag-racing campaign...now in its 52nd year, if you consider that he first drag-raced a Studebaker circa 1955. You can read about the 1964 disqualification on Page 8 of the March 1996 Turning Wheels.
