  • Im a Studebaker owner again

Just bought a 1959 Lark,4-door,38,000 miles,2nd owner.Guy that I bought it from bought it from the original owner when she quit driving at the age of 92. Interior has had plastic seat covers since new, good glass, lots of NOS parts, grill, chrome, bumpers, etc. 259/auto.Some rust in quarters and rockers, trunk is solid. Runs good.Im not big on four doors but this was just to good to pass up,as its close to home.
See,reading this forum kept me hooked on the things.

The '59/'60 Larks are some of my favorite four door models. Congratulations on your find.

Those plastic seat covers are awful and I would never consider putting them on a car.

Isn't it wonderful when you find someone that did!!!!

                Robert,

After you missed out on the M-5, glad to see that you are back in the Studebaker ownership fold.

LOL, yeah, I hated them as a child too! Bloody things would stick, squeek and make raspberrys like any good Woopie Cushion. I picked up a wagon that was rusted pretty badly. However, the owner had those dimpled plastic covers on the seats and they were beautiful when I pulled the cracked, yellowed covers off! The forty-year old vynal was soft as butter.

I love to see people turning to 4 door cars. Some of the best kept cars are 4 doors owned by older driver who really took care of them.
