  • Damaged TW - follow up

On 12/22 I noted on this forum that my Jan. TW arrived damaged. Today I received a replacement. I had not requested one, it was sent based on my forum posting. What terrific service! Thank you Cornerstone! It arrived in perfect condition.

That's what happens when you complain legitimately and I happen to notice it.

I still haven't received my January issue. I am usually one of the first to get it too.

You normally should wait until the 15th of the cover month to file for a missing issue. This accounts for variations in mail delivery.

            Hi all.

Gary is correct in stating that you should wait until the 15th of the cover month before reporting a missed issue. Periodical Class mail is essentially Second Class mail. In exchange for reduced postage rates, the USPS reserves the right to delay the mailing of the magazine. According to the USPS, Periodical Class mail can be delayed up to 4 weeks from the time of mailing. (Typically it takes 2 weeks for the magazine to be delivered.) Turning Wheels magazine is USUALLY mailed out in the 4th week of the preceding month. So roughly 4 weeks from that point is the 15th of the cover month. (Keep in mind that delays in editing, production and printing can also delay the mailing - like the large November 2009 issue.)

If you do not receive your Turning Wheels magazine, or receive a damaged issue, you may send e-mail to sdc@cornerstonereg.com or call us at 763-420-7829 (M-F 9-5 Central Time). If sending e-mail, please include your SDC membership. This expedites the process.
