I always liked this car as well as the Scepter. The museum needs to donate it to me...

You know, I bet that car has numerous mechanical issues. Why don't they let me have it, and I can use it for a daily driver for a year or two, and I can find them![)]

I got to see this car up close when it was at Harrahs in Reno NV. It is a spectacular car. I love it.

Studebaker's use of glass in these last prototypes is years ahead of that era. Mid 60s cars seemed to use glass only as a way to see out of the car but these prototypes of the last few days seem to make the glass an interesting styling statement. This wagon seems to draw your attention to the fact that there is almost a convertable with the top down feeling in this car.

It's interesting as a concept car and it has several cool features; however, IMHO the Golden Hawk dash, GT Hawk dash and especially the Avanti dash are superior designs than the hideous one in this car. I also don't car for the front grill treatment. Glad that its in the SNM and that is has been saved, that is where it belongs.

I guess compared to the grille in an Avanti it may be hideous, but it looked okay on the 63-64 Chrysler.

I really hate to say it, but it looks like a Rambler to me.

Looks like the wagon has the same steering wheel as the sceptre and the doors open like the other prototype.

My folks had a 64 Chrysler 300 (non-letter) that was one of the cars I used to learn to drive. I can safely say that the 63-64 design would be unlikely to win any automotive beauty contests. (But it was a nice car to drive, nonetheless; 383 and TorqueFlite. )
