Happy days at the ranch today, as the stagecoach
came up to house and tossed down my February copy
of TW's....a little worse for wear....folded in the
middle, dog eared and the cover is a little off the
staples.... I think the correct answer to the contest
is multi colored paint jobs..am I too late to answer?

    glen
Yes, Glen; the correct answer is/was two-tone paint. Paul Warta of Kernersville NC answered it correctly maybe two weeks ago, so was sent the modest prize.

Thanks for "reading and writing," though! BP

Turning Wheels arrived here (Fresno, Ca.) Feb. 9th. This is the normal arrival time--or perhaps a couple days early. So some people get it before the first of the month.[?][V] Doesn't give us much hope of actually purchasing some "hot" item from the classifieds, as it is old news by the time our eyes gaze upon it.
I know, I know, it's not SDC's fault, it's the Postal Service's. Of course if they're drop-shipped from the printer back East, and don't arrive out West until later, and enter the Postal system for actual distibution until later...[|)]. Maybe in fairness, ah...nevermind.[8]

None of the domestic issues of Turning Wheels are drop shipped (my understanding of drop ship). They are all sent out together from Virginia.

Most that receive their issues of TW very early are those that get their issues via First Class Mail (also includes an envelope to prevent damage).

I have purchased vehicles, parts, literature, etc. from months old Turning Wheels ads. I think that some erroneously assume that everything that is worth buying is snatched up in the first couple of days of TW's arrival.
