Brian, My suspension is what it is at this point. It works pretty well, sits low like I want and the ride is OK except a little stiff on bumpy roads. If I was starting from scratch and wanted to modify the Stude suspension, I think I would use the bolt in conversion from Slick Steet Stuff in Tennessee for the front. That would retain the Studebaker frame and geometry, give rack&pinion steering plus disk brakes. For the back I would toss the leaf springs and put in a triangulated 4 link. With that done, I would put air suspension on all 4 corners. And for someone who wants the ultimate, Art Morrison makes a complete frame and suspension that one of our forum members has under his 53 project.

        Thanks for the compliments
        Pat

My measurement reveal only a 1/4" difference in the hieght of the side windo in my Hawk coupe (13 5/8" at tallest point near front and 13 3/8" at the rear)
What an optical illusion! Would have guessed the 1 3/4" measurement we have be tossing around would have been closer to correct.
