Hmmm, perhaps the bumper swings out in order to remove the filler cap. Perhaps Bob Marcks put a side filler in place like a Hawk.

That's the '67 facelift car...best pic I've seen of it. Pity Stude didn't hang on just a bit longer: 1967 was Canada's centennial year; a red and white Centennial Edition '67 Cruiser would've been a nice upbeat way to send-off Canada's Own Car!

As has been said, there have been a few "neo-67s" built-up, most recent one I know of being Ray Martin's 66 with the "two-rectangle" grille. Looking forward to seeing that one firsthand maybe next year.
