Cowl tag, trim level question

I have a question, and going over the old threads from 2008 about cowl tags didn't answer it for me.
Are the body numbers unique for just the series (W, J, etc.) or also for the trim level?
In other words, would both of these tags exist?
3H-W5, 345
3H-W3, 345

Or would there be only one tub 345 for all W body regardless of trim levels?

They ARE trim level specific, there is ONE 3H-W3 345, AND possibly ONE 3H-W5 345 assuming they built that many. [^]

Cool. So there would also have been a 3H-W3 with the same 345 number.
Or in other words, the more trim levels offered, (custom, deluxe, regal, whatever) the lower the body numbers would all tend to be that year.

Pretty much, except 1950 and 1959 when they built so darned many that all model numbers were high! [^]

StudeDave57 now owns my former '57 Parkview Wagon, which proudly carries body number 57B-D4 30 = Commander/Parkview V-8 Deluxe 2 Dr. Wagon #30.

When 4 Dr. Wagons arrived for the first time in '57, Commander V-8 buyer (families, the largest customers for Wagons) bought 4 dr. Provincials' not Parkviews', only a few hundred were built. [^]
