  • Belt Moulding for '59 Lark

I'm looking for a chrome right-rear belt moulding for my '59 Lark Regal hardtop J-6.
The part number is 1332264 which is stamped on the back of the moulding.
If any of you have this moulding and would like to part with it, I'd appreciate it. If possible, I'd appreciate the moulding to be in good condition with a minimum of pitting.
    Many thanks.

Those are almost made of as much unobtainium as the Convertible ones! [:0]

Those are the below the rear Windows pot metal ones.

      Studerich,
You're exactly correct. The moulding I have on the car is not in very good shape. A number of years ago, I did obtain the left rear belt moulding in good shape. I just need to keep trying.
      Thanks for your reply.

That IS the part number for the sought piece, however it's not to be found on the back of it. The part number on the back of it is/was a number assigned the unfinished casting. Here's the number you'll find on the back.

Here's the one I have. The only difference between these and the convertible ones is that the ragtop pieces have been drilled to accept the tonneau snaps.

I had an NOS pair of these until recently. They brought a handsome price. I have this one used one that has what I call "weather checking" on it. The little gray speckles that you can't feel with your fingertips. It DOES have just a couple of small pits here and there, but we're talking about 50-year old pot metal that probably wasn't expected to last more than 10 or 20 years.

Isn't that the left side? I can't wait to drill holes in that!

              Mr. Biggs,
              Two questions:
Is the one you have for the right side of the car?
And, is it for sale & how much.
If you'd like to answer via e-mail, my e-mail address is

Wish I had known that, Ed. I've had three pairs rechromed trying to get one good set. [:0]

Sorry, Biggs, I couldn't tell from the angle of that thumb shot. It looked like the large side from that one which would have been the driver's side.

By golly, if Ed's got NOS, that would be the way to go! I'm not REAL keen on parting with this one, but figured if it would help someone what really needs it......

I have one or two extra door pieces too. Used, and less than perfect, but better than some I've seen. Priced according to condition.[:I]
