I like the duct tape air cleaner adapter. Red Green would be proud. [8D]

Actually that is a very nice looking vehicle. I would not mind having it. Although I have no idea what the market value of a Jeepster is, I would think that for the BIN price the engine could have been freshened up a bit. Still, I would like to cruise around in that with the top town. I wonder what size Studebaker V-8 that is.

The paint's good, the chrome is poppin'--somebody's gonna hit the BIN. It's a rat rod with some class. Plus you know it's a screamer.

About 30 years ago I toyed with the idea of dropping a Stude 289 in a Willys CJ-2A. Given the light weight of all Jeeps, it did not take a lot of power to get them run fast. I helped my brother build a hot 304 for his '73 that he later mated to a 4 speed out of a '65 or '66 Mustang. He rolled it once but did not hurt it.

Thats a nice piece for the money. Sure would be fun to play with and a pretty fair chance of not losing $ if you tire of it or spiff it up play with it and then just pass it on. Bet it rides pretty rough. I like it. When I first saw one about 1958 we thought they were sports cars. 2 WD but pretty unique. I'm sure someone will hit the BIN. jimmijim

Looks great but needs an in-person inspection for the price. The severely misaligned alternator eating up the belt may be an isolated (and therefore minor) problem, or it could be a symptom of a cobbled-up car.

I'd guess the former, but might be the latter...
