I guess I may have met my limit on restoring/rebuilding a Stude. On E-Bay right now there is a conv. Lark that may be, even for me, LOL, a bit over the top as a challange. WOW, this car must had sat in a 4 inch lake since 1970. The floors don't bother me but the door pillars and frame are getting my attention for repair time needed. I guess a new frame would be the easy answer. Again way to far to go get so I will continue to wait for one closer to Texas.

Bob, great car, I am looking for a rust bucket that I can update. Really don't want to modify a nice car. Rather save a car no one else wants and put/keep one more Stude a live on the road.

I hear you, Ken. Your intentions are honorable, but there IS a limit; and this poor car is beyond it IMO.
Here's the link:
Along those lines, look at the below album. It's a Corvair being restored simply because it allegedly belonged to Carl Sagan. I asked, so what? This is a model that can be bought, in excellent condition, for $6-8K:

The only old Corvair I'd want would be one I saw in Hemmings circa 1980.
It was advertised as being William Shatner's former car.
Now that would be fun, driving around yelling.."Scotty, give me more power..."

My wagon I just finished was bad ,real bad. I bought it on E-Bay for $242.54 and over paid in my opinion. I would say floor wise and door jam they are about equal. The frame on my wagon was good. The trunk and gas tank are hard to beleive. Anyhow if it was close to me I would buy it for $500.00 and get it back on it's feet. Again I like to take cars that would not ever be put back on the street and put them back on the street.
