I had mouse nests in my 48 when I bought it. Had some surface rust on floorpans but nothing serious.
Must be nice. I'd gladly take the mouse nests over the rust!

I almost got all the rusted front seat bolts out on my '50 now, and all the layers of carpet, jute and tarred insulation. The front driver's side floor is simply missing!! almost all the way over to the hump, including a patch done by some previous owner around the clutch and brake arms.

There is almost no floor from front to rear out by the rockers, except for by the b pillars.

It surprises me that the frame rails seem so solid when the floor is so bad. Is this typical for 47-52 Studes? Or did mine get driven through a brine tank at some point?

On the other hand, I only had one mouse nest in the whole car, back by the rear passender door.

Still, I'd rather clean out mouse nests than weld in new floor panels and rockers.

I have to agree Paul. All I had to do was wire brush the floorpans a little then treat them with Por-15 and then paint.

On my '52 the frame is perfect but the body mounts, door sills, and other places are "toast"..........Brad
