I have some new ones available for a 49 Commander I believe, would have to check whether they are front or rear.47 to 49 do not all use the same one according to the parts book.

They are not actually friction shocks. Friction shocks literally use the friction of two materials to dampen spring oscillations. The shocks (dampers)on a 49 are a lever type hydraulic as opposed to the telescoping (airplane type) shocks we have become accustomed to.

I googled "lever action shock absorbers"; lots of imformation and several rebuilders. NOT CHEAP!

Search the world's information, including webpages, images, videos and more. Google has many special features to help you find exactly what you're looking for.
