  • Poor choice of names for selling Lark?

Do you think by choosing this name for his eBay account... could have an influence on how people perceive the quality of product he is attempting to sell?

"One man's treasure is another man's trash". I think his screen name shows a good sense of self humor.

There've been a couple of posts on this forum lately showing offensive opinions of names which, I believe is rather childish and immature.

He does say "no retarded calls or prank calls". He is young. The world still revolves around him and he's trying his best, I guess. He is going to college and he drives a Stude. He has many years ahead of him and may turn out just fine. I wish him luck and I wish he would join SDC. Reminds me of my nephew who staggered past a perfectly good toilet to fill my sink with barf. "Sorry" doesn't cut it, anymore.

He had the car listed before with the starting bid and no reserve @ 4500...if you look at the other pics you can see he has 6500 written on the back window.

"Car has been appraised at 7500 dollars"...as my old man used to say "Thats the problem with apprasiers, never seem to have any money"

He has helpfully included his girlfriends # in the ad...and cant understand why he is getting retarded calls. I am guessing misses toilet AND sink...

I tend to agree with you about his youth. As far as his choice of names when he first signed up with with eBay...he might have only envisioned himself selling off his old high school "crap." However, when you want to sell for real dollars...it is best to avoid introducing any negative connotations.

Potential buyer places a low bid...
Seller asks why is bid so low...
Bidder answers: "you said it was crap and I took your word for it"

Well, not all education happens in the classroom, hopefully he is not a marketing major.

                            Here's the NADA book...

The $9100 might be his split between "average" and "high"

NADA is generally VERY high on Studes. So high as to be laughable usually.

IMHO, this is a #4 car maybe leaning to a #3 (if you squint). OCPG puts a #4 at $1960 and a #3 at $4410. Probably still over the actual market.
