  • 53 Coupe; Closer to finished than begun

The 53 Commander that was my daily driver thirty years ago is starting to get excited.

After four years in the shop, all sheetmetal has been repaired and primed.
The frame is POR15ed and installed, 289 and FOM rebuilt and installed. Turner dual cylinder installed with all stainless line and new hoses, cylinders and hardware; finned drums blasted, painted, bearinged and installed. Suspension bushings installed. TT rear installed with new springs and bushings.

The Phantom interior and LiBrandi chrome is safely stashed, as are the sillplates, wire wheel covers and caps.

All edges have been painted the original singletone Manchester Maroon; trunk, rear fenders and doors are hung.

Necessary parts to add Saginaw power steering are in transit. (Have been received and installed)

As soon as finances permit, I'll be ordering the YnZ harness. Until then there is plenty to do but, I think the Coupe is starting to get excited and, I think, I may be too.[]

Aw, Guys! Now I gotta get me a camera, and a photosite?

Seriously, I've been wanting to share the progress but it's always been...the task at hand.

Okay, let me work on it but understand, I'm a one man show; no bodyman or mechanic to do my bidding, no wife to do the laundry or cook, and very ,very little computer savvy.

I thought I would supply a link rather than post them here but, I obviously don't know how. So here's a few.

Apologies to those on dial-up. I'm on dial-up too. I know how you suffer.
