    Mr. Biggs is correct, of course, in that the spools are not authentic for EARLY Studebaker sewing applications when wooden spools and treadle machines were the norm. However, these spools date back to the 50s and 60s when Studebaker advanced High Performace sewing to new heights by making their "R-series" HP spools out of leftover resins from Hawk dashes.
