I could see a diesel settin in this thing. Cummins 6 would be to big, maybe a smaller Cummins with six spd? Does anyone know if a six spd would bolt up to the smaller Cummins?

What an interesting bed design. Almost looks fire-service related, doesn't it? And look at that low body number!

Those models were called the "K-10, Fast Transport" Very rare. 38, 39 and maybe 1940. That's in awesome shape..

This thing is in great shape for an old truck. It must have had good care for at least most of its years. I hope someone gets this one that can do it up right.
I wonder if that muffler is a rare factory option? [)]

John If by 6 cylinder Cummins you mean the 5.9L similar to what Dodge was using up until recently that would be the 6B (or 6BT for a turbo charged version) the smaller brother to that engine is 3.9L and has 4 cylinders is as you might guess is called the 4B or 4BT. These engines are nearly identicle on the outside other than the 4B is smaller (Duh!). Skip the six speed, General motors used the 4B's in the P chassis (think bread trucks, motorhomes, etc) and they all had 4L80 overdrive automatics behind them. This bellhousing adapter is available from Cummins. I almost bought a 4B (new drop in crate engine non turbo was about $2200) about a year ago and was going to but it in my Champ, but I decided a 4 cylinder 1/2 ton six foot bed truck would be useless

Neat-O! I've got body tag #110 pinned to my garage wall. I THINK I led Rebelstude to one of these awhile back. It wasn't running, but it was in nicer shape than this one. It had a bigger bed on it with curved front corners to it.

Geeez, Thats one of the coolest stude trucks I've seen. Did you buy it???
Seriously that thing made my pants get tight.
Does that bumper actually go to that truck or is a close replacement?
I don't own a truck yet but plan to buy one after my car is done....(Please don't tell my wife)

I really like the truck. However, rare or not, $9,500.00 can buy a lot of nice rides that are not nearly as "Needy" as this one.

Agreed the $$$ is high. And no I did not buy it. I would love to have one of those 30's models someday, but not this day.
