  • 1932 drivetrain. Someone in Florida needs to save

I found this 32 drivetrain on the bay in Florida. starting bid is 99 cents with no reserve and no bidders. They say they are going to scrape it if it does not sell. I would buy it but I am in Okla. Sorry if this is not the place to post this but I hate seeing old metal scraped

            I could kick myself! I had, free 'n clear, a sweet-running Hudson Commodore 8 W/OD trans - and I sold it.[V]

People always talk about things that got away...

My Great-Grandfather raised a lot of cattle back in the first half of the 20th century. Used to grind his own corn to feed them. My uncle (who saw this during the mid-to-late 1930s) said he had a Studebaker straight eight to pull the hammer-mill.

It did not have a muffler and my uncle said when the governor would kick in after you would throw in a scoop-full of corn was about the best sound he had ever heard.

I still think that it is hard to beat the sound of a 230 Timberjack pulling logs out of the woods (unless you are riding in the cage all day). Of course, they used the same GM 4-53 that Studebaker did.
