  • Looks like a good truck for $200

This '53 just listed on e-bay certainly looks solid, complete and a good candidate for restoration. With an opening bid of $200 it is priced right for someone on the left coast.

I would bid on this truck but it has that dreaded other when it comes to the topic of Title. [V]

        Dick,

How long would it take to put a "Lark shine" on that truck?

I don't know for sure about Texas, Randy, but in most states it's not a big issue to get a title for a 50 year old vehicle. I think the "powers that be" have figured out it's not quite the same thing as a missing title for a 2002 Camry [^]. Check it out. It's probably not a show stopper.

I like challenges [8D]. You buy it, I'll shine it for you, Gary [^].

(actually, if it stays cheap, I'LL buy it. Love that HD rear bumper, the big 6, little to no rust, not beat up...you could almost believe that low listed mileage)

You may have a deal. When is your next trip planned to CA?
Turlock Swap meet the end of January...maybe sooner.

(but I'm not haulin' it to Virginia [:0])

                            Dick,

No need to! After you hit it with the "Lark shine" and tinker with it for a couple of days it should be ready to bring to South Bend next year. By then Clunk will be back behind the wheel of a bus and can carry you back to the great Northwest!

Gary (quickly ducking before I get hit)
