1959-1963 Dealer Order Forms

I'm still going through some of the literature I got from Kinney Motor Company..
I came across these Dealer Order Forms.. I assume- These would be the forms the dealer filled out when ordering a car...
I have several filled-out ones.. and took a few and removed the hand-written marks, and fixed some missing edges and repaired the punch-holes.
These might be a neat thing to include with your car's trunk-display...
Kinney didn't start selling Studes until '60... and by '63 they quit. I cannot find an order blank from '61... I know they sold several '61 cars...

I have been trying to find a '63 Avanti order form. I understand they are different from the Hawk/Lark forms. Is this correct?

Those are really cool Ray! [^] I love seeing how the cars were equipped as ordered. I see this dealer was smart enough to order the 1337070 W4 dress-up kit for the '60 Deluxe 4 doors, so they would not look cheap like a Scotsman, without windshield and backlight mouldings! [^]

Those are great Ray. Some of those dealers selling to him were near where I live now. There is someone who has been selling Studebaker parts from Ravenna, Ohio and they aren't sure what they have most of the time when they list them without a package description, so I wonder if those parts are from that Ravenna dealership seen on that one form? I asked them if they were an SDC member without response.
I admit, I had to look up Barnesville. I have been to most counties in this state, but that one in Belmont county where his dealership was got me wondering. Great history there, thanks for posting them.

Hey Guys, I never seen one of those until I bought Delihla. I was going through the glove box when i found one it is blank but a little kid did a litte scribbling on it. I am going to try to fix it. Also in the glove box was instalation instrucions for the 6000 rpm tach, and a letter dated April 6th 1966 stating the dicontinuation of Studebaker Automobiles[V]. The order sheet is in really good shape with the exeption of the few scribbles on it. Also delihla was delivered on November 2 1962

Ray I just looked at your pix, mine is completely different. It is a pamphlet type, that has 4 folds in it and a lot more options, and has a price next to them. You just go down the line and check the box. It also has all the R series options. It appears to have about 10 times the options as your 63 sample. I will take a picture front and back and post it tonight when I get home.

I wonder if it could be the Avanti Order form that Jim is looking for?

Those things littered the floors at the old SASCO location and there were pallets with boxes of them upstairs. I'd bet he saved some.

To be honest, I've never seen those forms. What a cool find! The only thing I have is the production order for my car.

Ray; To add to your collection the 1961 form above. For those not familiar with these they measure 8 X 5 3/4" and were used starting in the 1956 model year. Each had eight sheets of different colors with seven carbons in between. As new options and accessories were added during a model run they would send out revised forms. For John (289stude) what you have is not a car order form but a dealer accessory order form. They are totally different. For Jim (jlmccuan) the Avanti order form you are looking for below.

Richard does anybody know of an Avanti with a 3 spd. floor shift? I'm not an Avanti expert but i do check them out on ebay and on this forum, and I've never seen on that way.

I've noticed in other literature that the 3 speed floor shift was available for R1 cars, but come to think of it, I've never seen one. Wonder what it would be like to find a fully optioned, 3 speed Avanti. Maybe a grail worthy of a factory R3 car.

All or most of the Allstate Tire drawing giveaway Avantis were R1, 3 speed, manual steering, real dogs with only a standard T-86. Tom sbca96 in Santa Barbara has one similar, with 3 speed he converted to 5 speed.

I own a `63 Avanti with 3-speed (R-4197), and agree with StudeRich, but it is rare. According to George Krem: `63=67 built and `64=11, that figures out to 1.7% with 3-speed. My car is also a radio delete, `63=140 and `64=25. That comes out to 3.6%. Does weird equal valuable? My car is completely original with 26,000 miles. It was sold new by Abels Garage, Rhinelander, WI. The original owner never used it as a daily driver, just a summer weekend car. It remain in his family until 2000. Only options are ww tires and front belts. MSRP was $4,557.83, invoice $3,554.57. I have the bill of sale and original owner paid $3650.00 plus $109.50 tax. It appears he drove a hard bargain.
