IIRC, little Studebaker sold many more '57-58 GH/PH, and '57 Packards than the very rare special order F-code '57 'birds. Anyone have the 'bird production numbers handy?

the number of f and e code 312's were small on the t-bird.the fairlane there were quite a few f codes in police cars, mostly 4-door sedans, but a lot of the blowers were removed for ease of maintaince the police cars were real slugs without the blower.when the 57's were replaced the blower setup did not go with the car but was thrown out with the garabage. my son has one such car,the brackets were in the trunk but no blower. today you can build a clone because all of the parts are avaible. there are a lot more 57's running around today that were ever made with f code motors.e code are the hardest to find(2x4 intake set up). also the police all came with a special cam what was only for f code motors.they were a dealer installed opt. for regular f code engines.

Air conditioner? Who said anything about an air conditioner? My four windows and two ventilation ducts are my air conditioner. [}]

                  RE: 1957 Ford F-code (300HP, 312 CID) production.

I just checked with F-code Ford expert (and SDCer, but not on the Forum) John Feistritzer. John owns and drag-races the white 1957 Fairlane 2-door sedan Hoosier Hurricane that has been seen in many magazines. It has a 1957 300/312 engine.

John confirmed that no one has come up with an accurate number of full-size 1957 Fords produced with the 300/312 supercharged engine; no records have been located to document a number (remember, Ford had many assembly plants around the country in 1957, unlike Studebaker).

However, he says the number 212 is generally accepted as the number of F-code 1957 Thunderbirds built. BP
