      Good article.
I didn't realize in 1956 Studebaker manufactured 264 bus chassis that were powered by a Perkins P6 diesel engine, for shipment to India.
They also explained the 96 BBC well and it's one of the main questions I get on our 62 and 64 Stude.

Just got back from Barnes & Noble and read the subject article in the magazine itself. Very nice presentation; congrats to all involved. (Yes, there are a lot of people who read Diesel Power!) BP

As some know, Stude built some 3R48 4x4 pickups in 1954 for the Indian army. I think SASCO still has the parts books for sale. At the York meet a couple of weeks ago, Sharon Hall had a dozen or so folders for sale that described various Stude truck proposals that were not built. One of them was for a later (4E?) forward-control bus powered by a Perkins diesel.

This is great information. It's printed to be studied later. We have a '64 AE45 Diesel registered for our Zone meet in Sacramento in May.
