Anybody going to the La Palma Park Studebaker event this weekend.

Hey John. Wish I was, but a bit of a drive and my truck doesn’t have the motor ready yet either, so that’s the other issue. But I did go to that show about 20 years ago when I first got into Studebakers, and it was a nice show, good collection of cars and trucks. The park was a nice place for it too. Not sure how it all is now, but I’d definitely go and check it out again sometime. But unfortunately not this year. If you do go, take some photos and post them here for us if you don’t mind.

Well we’ll miss you. Shows about the best on the West Coast. But it’s getting smaller every year

Hey John, I'll be there, but not with a Studebaker. I will however be making enquiries about selling my 59 2dr Lark before I put it for sale online, as a whole, or parting it out. My life plans have changed and I don't believe I will be able to repair it myself, or complete my Champ, so that will be going as well.

I agree with Warren, since I moved to Arizona, it's a 300+ mile drive one way to get to the La Palma meet . The La Palma meet is one of the few things I miss about living in California. We have car shows here in Kingman, but there are very few Studebakers in attendance.

John, did you make it to the show, get any photos to share? Anybody else?

Yes, I was at the show. Wouldn’t miss it for the world. The turnout was excellent A good show of cars and trucks and of course those Avanti lovers. The swap meet was about half of what it usually is. But bargains were found. I did well in sales at the swap meet. I’ll see if I can get my friend to post some pictures

Glad to hear John. I'll see if I can make it next year and make the drive down if I can ever get my truck back on the road! I do recall it being a very nice show that time I did go. Look forward to seeing some photos if you and friend are able.
