I am curious to find out when Studebaker made the decision to move the tach sender from under the hood (ADJACENT TO THE WIPER MOTOR) to the "Z" bar under the dash?
This question comes about as I am looking at the July 1962 issue of CarLife as well as the October 1962 issue of Road & Track and the sender can be seen clearly under the hood.
