  • Mystery Valve Grind Set

There's a fellow who is selling a valve grind set on a Facebook group and he is uncertain of the application. I don't recognize the shape of the head gasket and not liking a mystery I'm hoping someone can solve this puzzle. There's also a tag marked Studebaker-Packard Corp packed Mar 1955 by Kennelly and Sissman Co, the sku or part number is G742-75-38637. Another photo show a metal gasket stamped Victor 1968-the head gasket number perhaps?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Don't know what it fits. But I can tell you it's not a Studebaker Champion flathead six head gasket, nor is it a Studebaker 170 OHV six head gasket.

With the two "lugs" sticking out at the ends, looks like it could be for a sideplate motor. I don't know about Chevs, just wondering. Possibly Vauxhall ?

The other gaskets may be the clue to what make that Set fits.

I see what looks like a Stromberg 2 Brl. Carb base gasket, so WHAT 6 Cyl. is big enough to have a 2 Barrel, a Hudson ?

Can't it's owner just read the Label on the Box ?

Vauxhalls of that era sometimes had 2 barrel Zeniths, and Vauxhall had a model called a "Victor" although I have only seen 4 cylinders, with the six cylinders being Velox and Cresta. Still think Vauxhall is a possibility. (note, not sure just a suggestion)

            Couldn't help looking online,
Vauxhall made a six cylinder "Victor" in 1968 using the engine from the Velox/Cresta, known as both the Victor and Ventora !

I think their set is for that model Vauxhall.

Agree with the others, those gaskets aren't for a Stude.

Victor was a big time gasket manufacturer back in the day.
