    Will my bellhousing from my 1960 170 flathead fit a 1964 170 ohv some one told me on another forum that it would not fit

      What "other" forum have you been getting advice from?

      Assuming you are talking about a passenger car (Lark). the bolt pattern is the same so it should bolt up. The same part number bellhousing was used from '60 thru '61, but there is a different part number for '62 thru '64 that appears to be related to the clutch release cross shaft and/or the clutch. Spend some time in the parts manual comparing bellhousing, clutch, flywheel, starter, etc part numbers/applications, and you should be able to verify what may be different and need to be changed out.

      But if a '61 OHV 6 will bolt up to the same bellhousing as your '60 flathead, the '64 OHV six should also.
