Icons Missing?

Has anyone over the past few days noticed that the icons with the smiley face, thumbs up and other have disappeared? Is it possible that I did something unknowingly to have that disappear? Is is possible that I can do something to bring them back?

You probably hit the "X" in the gray circle on the right side of the emoji section. Click on the blue emoji face and they will come back. See pic attached with the emoji face circled.
