Baby Blue's big trip

Baby Blue is a very nice 1954 Studebaker Champion Starlight coupe, light blue with a white roof.

For many years, Graham Gagne of Cook's Brook, Nova Scotia was his owner. In recent years, Dale Poel of Bedford, Nova Scotia owned him. As of this week, Rick Bray of Lake Country, British Columbia is the owner.

As I write this (May 15, 2024), Rick has completed the first day of driving Baby Blue about 5,400 km (3,400 miles) across Canada to his home. We wish him a safe and happy trip!!


If you happen to be on the Trans-Canada Highway in the next few days, watch for Rick and Baby Blue.

VERY Nice '53 !

I am beginning to like those Body Color Painted Grille Bars with the correct Chrome Grille Mouldings and the White and Chrome Nameplates.

Of ALL the various combo's I have seen on these '53's and '54's, this style is in my opinion the BEST Mod.


The Metallic "Avanti Red", Maroon didn't hurt this one either !

Baby Blue is a 1954 with a 1953 grille. A former owner made the change as he liked the 1953 grille better.

Seems to be a popular trend lately. Last week, we had someone stop by the shop who had just bought a '64 Hawk out of Sarasota, Florida and was driving it home to Vancouver, British Columbia.
