  • New member - hello

I'm new to the forum. I currently don't have a Studebaker, but I am looking for a 1962-64 GT. I live in southbay Los Angeles. My collection is mostly 1960s Mercedes, a '69 Buick Skylark, and a '66 Dodge Charger. I am also looking for a Rambler/AMC Marlin.

I have been mostly searching CL and FB for a GT. I would be interested in any condition GT and any leads are welcome. I look forward to learning more about the cars through this forum. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum and to Studebakers. A GT Hawk is a great place to start. Then maybe a Speedster, an Avanti, a 50 Landcruiser, the possibilities are great.

I have always been drawn to medium sized 2 door hard tops. I love a pillarless car. Not long ago I saw a GT for sale and knew I wanted one. I just drove one for the first time tonight. Really solid feeling car, just like '60 Mercedes.

I’m not sure what kind of a GT Hawk you are looking for, but I am finishing up a 63 R2 package superhawk. It’s a Floor shift automatic. I’m waiting on the seat covers to put the seats in and it will be ready for sale. PM me if you want to know more. I’m up in Napa, Ca. Thanks. Justin

I'm picking up a '63 GT today. It's black with red interior. I will post some pics once I get the car.

                          Careful, they’re pretty heavy.

Well the steering feels like lifting a whole car. It feels like a car with broken power steering, which it could be.
