This concerns Studebaker Avantis with a/c.
If one looks at page 31 in the parts book, one sees listed a carb idle speed up kit, p/n 1563113. This is purportedly to increase idle speed when a/c cars slow down and come to a stop with auto trans cars.
Now later in 1964 Studebaker issued service letter dated April 24, 1964. This was to address overheating with Avantis with a/c, a special kit with the p/n 1563542. So my question is this, is 1563113 and 1563542 for all intents and purposes the same? Hopefully either Dwight or Brad can shed light on this issue.
