  • Another Cold War Motors Studebaker - 55 Champion 4-door

Scott picked up another car, a decent 55 Champion 4-door, built in Hamilton. A pretty nice car, and he gives is a nice review. Stude content at 7:30, and again at 40:00, for those who don't want to wade through the nonsense like an impeccably restored RCMP 1977 Ford Custom 500 Interceptor police car.

Anyone who would attempt a restoration or to return that rust bucket '55 Champion to driving, would have to have a HUGE Wallet !

    I wish them luck!

Maybe they have never seen West Coast and South Western U.S. Cars. The trip would more than Pay for itself compared to THAT !

So true Rich-the uninitiated seem the think that they are looking at one of the last of it's kind in existence. There are plenty of candidates that go begging because nobody is doing any restorations. Restoring the wrong car for the right reason (to save it) just makes no sense to me.

Having watched CWM for several years, I doubt the intention is to restore the car. I think he enjoys saving them and cleaning them up, and maybe go from there, maybe not. As far as a rust bucket, true, but if you watch the '60 Fury "splice" process you'll see Scott is not afraid of tackling a project like this.

Both of you are right. I like to watch these guys retrieve dialect cars. It often makes me wonder how the cars got off line in the first place.
