Texas Salvage Yard with many Studebakers

This week I was in a salvage yard in Texas that had a remarkable number of Studebakers along with, The Big Three, Hudson, Nash etc. The range of cars begins with several Model T's and Model A's and goes then to 40's - 60's and perhaps a few 70's. Hundreds and hundreds of cars.
There are several Hawks and Larks, a wagon or two as I recall.
You can drive your car/truck into the yard and drive down the rows until you find the car you want to check out. No long walks with a heavy bag of tools.

If you go to check things out, grab some pictures to post. We like pictures on the forum. Since it is a long drive from Arizona, pictures would go along way for to take a summer trip

I don't recall any, but that does not mean there were not any.
FYI, I was looking for '57 Ford parts for a '57 Ranchero I'm building. Saw 4-5 Edsels, 4-5 '58 Mercurys. Many 60's era T'Birds. So my focus was on FOMOCO cars, and I found parts I needed from all of the FOMOCO cars I just listed. There are ALOT of cars!
The owner Trenton, knows what he has in the yard, call him. You may not get a same day reply, as it is he, his son and a helper, and many requests.

I believe that is an older photo, as that large grass area is today full of cars when I was there this week.

Rich, ........I'm building a '57 Ford Ranchero, and I have incorporated parts from many cars. I live in Louisville KY. and visit FT.Worth 4-5 times a year to visit my son and his family. Living 1000 miles away limits what I will buy,as I have to bring it back on a plane. So what I have purchased are small parts. Radio face plate and console lock and console glove box from a '66 T'bird. I have a '66 T'Bird console in this Ranchero., along with '66 T'Bird seats. The pot metal trim piece from a '63 T'bird hood, as my Ranchero has a '63 T'bird hood scoop. Windshield wiper bezels from a '58 Edsel that have a washer jet that '57 Fords do not have. A hood latch from a '59 Ford,............Better design , better function ,than the '57. A pair of'57 Ford kick panel trim pieces, than are normally rusted out at the bottom. These are very good. Center trim piece for a '57 grill and the hard to find hardware to mount it. AND one Studebaker horn for my '63 Avanti, that I've owned for 51 years. The neat part about this yard, is that normally, buying a horn in a salvage yard, is a gamble, as to if it will work. I took a pair of 6' wires with alligator clips with me, so I drove my son's truck right up to the car with the horn, connected the wires and it honked. Bought it!

There were a few at 10:40, 11:11, 11:28, 28.38 a 62 Daytona HT, 38:00 a '50 4 Dr., 1:02.25 a '55 Pres. State 4 Dr. , 1:09.59 3 Larks a GT or 2.

It took me over an Hour before I hit pay Dirt. I was thinking there were not many Stude's. in that part of Texas, just 10 or 11 scattered here and there, until He got into entire Rows of them at 1hr:10.36 to 1:13.20 WOW! Every Year '47- 64 there and a few 40's.

I never saw SO many '50's & '60's Cadillacs, Olds and Buicks! I guess all the Oil Barron's had several!

I guess that's an Hour and 41 Minutes we won't get back!

Yes Rich, it is quite a place, not your usual salvage yard, and that is why I posted the information.
Hopefully others on this Forum might find something there they need.
