  • Discovered some Studebaker trucks for sale along the highway near Pella, Iowa

On my way to St. Louis to retrieve a Studebaker, I passed by Doug's Four Wheelers Inc. near Pella, Iowa. Look Around Doug's Yard (dougs4-wheelers.com)

I see a green Studebaker by the Ford Falcon

Ugh. I bet that green 4 door donated its whole front end for wall art. A shame.

Agreed, it was probably a 1950 or 51.

What a great place! Everything for Sale! I remember finding some yards back in "the day" where not only were the vehicles NOT for sale, but the owner would get mad and run you off the property if he didn't want you there.

There is More from Pella over here:

      https://forum.studebakerdriversclub....d-4-door-sedan

Just a Totally unbelievably HUGE Collection of Hundreds of vehicles, even a bunch of Buses.

As I said in that String, I guess it would be very expensive to transport Junk Cars to a Port for export, given Where that is.
The buying recyclable Vehicles May have stopped around Late 60's or early 70's for the most part, except that line of of newer used "Drivers" for sale.

There is Every Make and Most Models in there.

Enlarge this one 3X. I always try to save Website space by using "Medium" Size that allows enlarging, I hope it helps.

The automobile recycling/scrap steel business is alive and well here in the midwest. Crushed cars can be seen nearly everyday being transported on semi-flatbed trailers to scrap metal recycling centers. The reason this yard has so many vehicles is probably because the owner of the yard doesn't want to see them scrapped.
