  • Studebaker Electric Piano Wagon (circa 1905?)

Gents I need a photo of a Studebaker Electric Piano Wagon that can be made 8X10.
Any suggestions as to where it can be found?...............Google was of no help;-( Such a photo is on page 13 of "Studebaker, Less Than They Promised"

    Thanks in advance.

There was an article in Turning Wheels some years ago about an electric Delivery Wagon. I believe they were in Oregon. Another thing you might look up is the 1905 Studebaker Catalogue. There are a few still floating around. Some reproductions have been made from several 1890''s vintage and the 1905. Studebaker put out a comprehensive catalogue every few years. Particularly when they had something particularly interesting to offer. 1905 was one of those years. It's hard to find literature from that period, either horse-drawn or auto-motive. Five years later there would be no horse-drawn vehicles mentioned in the catalogue at all. They were still making a few. However from about 1914-20 Horse Drawn was winding down to an end. After all most of the horses were sacrificed in the Great War.

Using piano and Studebaker I was able to find a picture of a 1911 No. 9203 Piano Body Bike Buggy.

I have many Electric catalogs and photos including commercial vehicles. One I had already scanned is shown below. Have others probably have the Piano wagon version you are looking for.

On the side of the wagon is a picture of a Steinway Grand Piano, Kurtzman Pianos.
