Thank you Ed - that kind of information is never easy to share.
Someone once told someone is never truly "gone" if a single person remembers that individual and shares it with others. That being true, Bob's existence will go beyond anything we could ever imagine.Last edited by 62champ; 02-13-2023, 08:47 AM.

This makes me angry, I met Bob twice, at the only two International Meets I have attended. Never thought that would be the last time I would see him. Such a kind and generous man who is gone way too soon. Lost my Dad four years ago to Cancer and I just hate this all so much. F@#K cancer. It’s taken too many good people ahead of their time. Will miss Bob and his articles so very, very much.sigpic

This is one of the hardest times for a family. I have gone thru this a few times and currently waiting for my brother in law with his brother. I expect a call in the next day. What the family is doing is making a Life Board of pictures from the time of he being in diapers, to the last time he took a good picture. They are doing this to keep busy.
I can imagine the pictures of the rich life that Bob and Cari have lived. This can help to pass the time and draw on the rich memories by setting up a life board. It can be a tender reminder for all to see.
As stated by all our hearts are very heavy. I don't know what else to say other than we are here in heart and spirit.

Bob is one of the finest people I've ever known. It's been an honor to be related to him. Our friendship goes deeper than only being cousins. Through sneaking around the Proving Grounds and Studebaker factory buildings in the early 1960s, installing the R3 in the Wrapper in 1964, working together at the Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Race, sharing frequent emails and phone calls and many other adventures, we both felt more like brothers than cousins. In these difficult days, Ruth and I are thinking constantly of his great family. Thanks to our faith, the best is yet to come.

I've never met Bob in person but he was a helluva asset to me back in the late 1960's through July of 1976 when I was on the hunt for spare parts for my '56 Power Hawk. At that time I was working as an expat at the Kwajalein Missile Range where the anti-ballistic defense was in the R&D stage. With Bob's assistance I ordered what turned out to be a living room full of parts and needless to say was a very pleasant surprise!
Indeed, he's a Studebaker treasure and I wish him the very best. Sadly I too will miss his wit, knowledge and willingness to assist others. I certainly will never forget him!Last edited by GrumpyOne; 02-14-2023, 07:39 PM.
