I need two taillight bulbs for my Sky Hawk. Does anyone know how I can find the number so I can get them locally?

If you are talking about tail, stop and signal bulbs---they have been 1034 or 1157 since cars converted to 12 volts. Not sure whether your car is 6 or 12 volts.

Normally the bulb number is printed or stamped into the base of the bulb........................

Your car's owners manual should have the bulb numbers listed in it.

Yes, the owner's manuals from our car's generation had actual, factual information we can use. It's so refreshing!

pinehurstbob, All Hawks were originally built with 12 volt systems.

        IIRC:
        1) All Studebakers switched from 6-volt, positive-ground to 12-volt, negative ground in 1956
        2) Packard switched from 6-volt, positive-ground to 12-volt, positive ground in 1955
        3) Packard switched from 12-volt, positive-ground to 12-volt, negative ground in 1956

The tail/turn/ stop lamp bulbs were originally 1034's. 1157's are the late model replacements, but I've been using 2357's which have a brighter stop/ turn signal filament in my cars. The 2357' bulbs have a 40 candle power stop turn filament where the 1157 bulbs have a 32 candle power filament. Bud
