  • Mark Smith Sale - Lynchburg Va.

Today was the second day of the three day very large Mark Smith sale. It has been a really interesting day on the auction floor. Several Studebakers have crossed the block today with this one included. This car has been completely restored and was driven out of South Bend. Car has a period correct Champion Flat Head Six. I Because of some gracious donors this car is returning home to the Studebaker National Museum. Watch for it soon in their collection and showcased in the future.

This was not the only Studebaker to cross the block today

    Here's the 2nd day sale results: https://www.proxibid.com/Polk-Auctio...catalog/226420

Make sure you look through the entire day for other Studebakers

The cost of admission and the buyers premium eliminated any probability of me attending.

Gary, I visited all of the auction sites early last week looked at all i was interested in as well as the Bonnie Doon midget car for the Museum. On sale day I bid by Proxiebid on line. Paid little more for some stuff but had no crowd hassle. The Museum had a Board of Trustee member who had a person site for other items in the sale and he bid for the midget racer. There wer lots of great buys there like a complete set of Baronnie rims that will fit an Avanti for less than 500.00
