      Good. Regardless of your feelings towards it's glorious past, it's still the past, and it is a cancer on Detroit. It was beyond redemption decades ago.

        It's been mostly vacant longer than it was fully occupied.

        One can bet if Packard was still making cars today, that factory complex would have been replaced with a far more modern, automated facility long ago.

        GM's grim legacy to Detroit is the Fisher Body Plant 21 which is just as blighted as the Packard plant.
